WordPress: 3 Mafuaʻaga e Faʻapipiʻi ai Jetpack Le taimi nei!

Last night I had the pleasure of being a guest on the #atomicchat Twitter chat run by the incredible folks at Aapa Atomika. We were discussing great plugins for WordPress and one plugin that I had to bring up a few times was Jetpack.

Jetpack supercharges your self‑hosted WordPress site with the awesome cloud power of WordPress.com.

E mafai ona e asiasi i le Jetpack for WordPress site for additional details, but 3 key features stand out for me:

Autu feaveaʻi

If you can’t read your site well on a mobile device, many of your visitors are most likely bailing on you. The good news is that you don’t have to spend a ton of money on a new responsive theme or a mobile add-on, WordPress has you covered with a nice, lightweight mobile theme that works fantastic out of the box.

If I had any complaint, it would be that the theme isn’t actually saved in a theme directory – so if you make any modifications, updating the plugin will wipe them out. Additionally, mobile app platforms like iTunes offer meta data that pops up an installation button for a site’s app. This would be a great feature for this plugin.

On Martech Zone, we have dynamic calls to action based on categories. If you read a social media article, the sidebar displays a social media call to action from a sponsor. It’s worked quite well but required that we program our own plugin to make it work. Not anymore! Jetpack sau mai le visibility option that allows you to set up complex rules on when to display a specific widget.

Faʻasalalau

Social promotion of your content isn’t an option anymore, it’s critical in an overall strategy. WordPress has solved this challenge by adding the ability to publicize your posts throughout your social networks. I’m looking forward to them adding Google+ and will most likely convert our own blog over to this plugin as soon as it’s added. We currently use the WordPress i Buffer plugin and buffer to share our posts.

Perhaps most important with Jetpack is that it’s native to WordPress and built by WordPress developers. Given the quality of many plugins on the market, it’s fantastic to have this trusted resource! Install Jetpack now and take advantage of these features and many, many more!
